I haven't been posting a lot of concepts lately, but hopefully that will change as I've decided to start a new series, which I'm calling "NHL De-Edge". As the title suggests, I'm ditching the Reebok Edge system, going back to the style the NHL used before 2007. I'm starting with just home and road jerseys for each team, but might go back and add third jerseys afterwards. The Ducks are the first team, and I'm kind of going alphabetically but it might skip around a bit.
Anaheim Ducks:
I'm a fan of the Ducks current jerseys, but this concept would be boring just using the same striping pattern, so I used side panels instead. I also put the duck foot logo on the front of the sweater, and used the oval shoulder patch from their current third jersey. The rest of the stuff is pretty much the same as what they currently use.
I should have the Bruins posted in a few days.

Stars Jersey Prediction
Hello all. The poll about a SG-94 Google+ page ended yesterday, with two people thinking it's a good idea and two people who didn't think it was a good idea. I decided to make a page, and I don't expect it to be very popular, but I thought I might as well make it anyways. Here is the link to the page, and you can also get to it by clicking the Google+ icon on the side of the page.
Now to the exciting part of this post. As I'm sure all of you already know, last Thursday the Dallas Stars leaked their new logos. I'm a fan of the new primary logo, and the new colours (more detailed opinion post coming up after the jersey are unveiled). I decided to make a prediction of what I expect the new jersey to look like.
Dallas Stars Prediction:
According to some rumors, the new jerseys will have a classic look, and the home jersey will be green. I've also heard they will have lace-up collars, and the white jersey will have a shoulder yoke but the green jersey won't. The above concepts are my take on those rumors.
It will be fun to see how similar these are to the actual jerseys. They'll probably be very different.

Final Fashion Jerseys
Here are the last two fashion jerseys I'm going to do. After these I'm moving on to other concepts.
Dallas Stars:
This is the Stars current (not for long) home jersey recoloured green.
Edmonton Oilers:
And this is the Oilers current road jersey in the team's copper colour used from the 1996-2012.

My Thoughts: Month of May
Well, it's been almost a month since I last posted an opinion post, so I thought it would be a good time to do another one.
Also there is a new poll up on the side of the page. I'm trying to judge if there would be any interest in a Google+ page for this blog.
Third Jerseys in Playoffs
Three teams used third jerseys in this year's Stanley Cup Playoffs (Minnesota, San Jose, and Toronto), and I'm not a fan of that. I believe that only home and road jerseys should be worn on the playoffs. If teams feel their third jersey is better than their home jersey, then they should make it their home jersey at the start of the season. I don't know why this bugs me, but it does.
Prince Albert Raiders Rebrand
Back on May 16, the Prince Albert Raiders of the WHL unveiled a new logo and new jerseys. Green was made the primary colour, which I'm a huge fan of. The logo (seen above), is a mix of a sword, the initials "PA", and the team name Raiders, all on top of a shield. It might not be the best logo ever, but it is certainly a good logo for a CHL team. I'm also a big fan of the new jerseys, their unique, unlike a lot of CHL teams that copy NHL team's templates.
Saskatoon Blades Memorial Cup Jersey
Sticking with the WHL, the Saskatoon Blades wore special commemorative jerseys for their first game of the Memorial Cup. This is continuing a recent tradition, I believe since around 2008, where the host team of the Memorial Cup wears a special memorial jersey for their first game. I love that the CHL does this, it is a great way to honour the people who serve our country. The jersey design is pretty good too, nice and simple.
Peoria Rivermen New Look for SPHL
And last but not least, the Peoria Rivermen were reincarnated in the SPHL after the Vancouver Canucks announced the AHL's version of the team would no longer exist. After the league switch, the Rivermen unveiled new logo and jerseys (seen above). I love the new look, it's way better than what they were wearing in the AHL. The logo gets rid of that cartoony person, and the jerseys trade a standard template mess for a unique yet classy striping pattern. The updated colour scheme is also an improvement. I'm very impressed with the SPHL version of the Rivermen so far.
Hopefully I'm not boring everyone with these opinion articles, because there will probably be another one after the Stars unveil their new look. And if these aren't you cup of tea, I should have more concepts soon. Thanks for visiting.

More Fashion Jerseys
It's been a bit longer than I wanted, but here are a few more fashion jerseys to go with four from the previous post. WinnipegJets96 suggested three teams (Oilers, Canucks, and Stars), and I did the Canucks, but I didn't get around to the other two teams. Sorry about that WinnipegJets96. I did do a couple of jerseys for the Ducks though.
Vancouver Canucks:
Anaheim Ducks:
And for the Ducks I did two versions, using the "Jade" and "Eggplant" colours from their Mighty Duck days.
Thanks for visiting.

As you can see, I did a navy blue and silver version for the Canucks.

Fashion Jersey Idea
Hello everyone. I believe this is the first time I have made concepts meant as fashion jerseys, instead of actual game jersey concepts. The idea here is to take a team's current jersey, and switch out the base colour for another colour. The new colour isn't a colour that was already on the jersey, but it is related to the team (or city) somehow.
Boston Bruins:
Their current home jersey with the brown from their Winter Classic jersey used as the base colour.
Buffalo Sabres:
Home jersey with the 1970-96 shade of blue used.
Columbus Blue Jackets:
Their home jersey with the "Steel blue" from their third jersey.
Minnesota Wild:
Their road jersey (actually it's more similar to their first green jersey), with the North Stars shade of kelly green.
If you can think of any other teams this would work for let me know. Thanks for visiting.
